Brazilian Butt Lift
Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) in California and Florida (Beverly hills, Newport beach, Orange County, Miami)
The Brazilian Butt Lift has become a very popular procedure over the years, helping both women and men enhance the contours of the buttocks for a more youthful and shapely appearance. In addition to traditional Butt Lift surgery, we offer this innovative technique designed to augment and better-define the buttocks without the need for implants.
What Is a Brazilian Butt Lift?
A Brazilian Butt Lift utilizes excess fat taken from another area of the body via liposuction to add volume and definition to the buttocks. Since the procedure involves fat grafting techniques to enhance the shape and contours of the buttocks, it does not require gluteal implants to achieve optimal results, which is why many consider Brazilian Butt Lift surgery a more “natural” alternative for buttock enhancement.

What Are the Benefits of a Brazilian Butt Lift?
If you are dissatisfied with the shape and appearance of your derriere, a Brazilian Butt Lift offers an array of benefits that can rejuvenate the buttocks with beautiful results. The potential advantages of this procedure include:
- Improved volume, firmness, and shape
- Improvement of mild skin sagginess in the buttocks
- Improved symmetry and balance between the buttocks
- Enhancement of overall body proportions
- Long-lasting, natural-looking results
- Since the procedure involves liposuction of another body area, patients receive the double-benefit of fat reduction from one region of the body while augmenting another
Brazilian Butt Lift surgery can serve as an alternative, or as a complement, to the traditional butt lift technique available at our practice, which removes loose, excess skin and tightens the remaining skin for a firmer appearance. This procedure can also be paired with other body contouring procedures for a more comprehensive aesthetic rejuvenation.
We will talk with you about your goals during the initial consultation and help you determine whether Brazilian Butt Lift surgery is the right option for your needs.

What Does the Brazilian Butt Lift Procedure Involve?
The first step of the Brazilian Butt Lift involves the harvesting of fat for transfer to the buttocks. Utilizing advanced liposuction techniques, we will take fat from an area of the body that has been determined during your initial consultation. In most cases, the excess fat is taken from a region such as the abdomen, arms, thighs, or hips. The best option will be based on the area that has an adequate amount of excess fat to extract, as well as your particular desires. Once the fat is harvested from this “donor” location, it will be processed and purified in preparation for its relocation to the buttocks. We will then carefully and precisely inject the fat into specific areas of the buttocks to add volume and refine contours. In most cases, a certain percentage of the transferred fat cells will be reabsorbed by the body. To compensate for this, we may inject more fat cells than seems necessary at first so that the results will meet expectations even after some of the fat is reabsorbed
What Can I Expect During Recovery From a Brazilian Butt Lift?
Patients can expect some level of swelling, soreness, and bruising in the buttocks and the areas where liposuction was performed as they recover from Brazilian Butt Lift Surgery. These side effects are very common and should diminish as recovery progresses. Post-surgical compression garments will also be provided to aid the healing process. Pain medication can help control discomfort in the days following surgery. Patients are advised to avoid sitting for extensive amounts of time for about three weeks after the procedure in order to reduce the potential for volume loss or altered shape while the areas heal. A special cushion or a modified chair can often accommodate this restriction during recovery. Most patients are able to resume normal daily activities after about one week; however, the plastic surgeon advises individuals to refrain from strenuous work or exercise, heavy lifting, or other routines that may cause excessive strain on the buttocks for a minimum of three to four weeks.
